DBGYFF AWARDS

The prestigious DBGYFF Awards are chosen by the board of experienced juries, who decide the winners. The list of awards include

  • 4. Regional Bests
  • 5. Jury Choice

GLOBAL BESTS

Global Bests are chosen from the best entries in all the five categories:

  • 1. 2-Minute Short Films
  • 2. 5-Minute Short Films
  • 3. 5-Minute Animation Films,
  • 4. 5-Minute Music Video
  • 5. 10-Minutes Documentary

The award winners will receive the following cash prizes:

  • 1. 3,000 euros for first place
  • 2. 2,000 euros for second place
  • 3. 1,000 euros for third place.

REGIONAL BESTS

Regional Bests are the awards given for the 10 best short films from every region, with a cash prize of 1,000 euros each. The entries are classified as per the seven regions of the Salesian world:

  • 1. South Asia
  • 2. East Asia & Oceania
  • 3. Africa Madagascar
  • 4. Inter America
  • 5. America South Cone
  • 6. Northern & Central Europe
  • 7. Europe & Middle East

EIGHT CATEGORY BESTS

Eight young individuals will be recognized with cash awards of 1,000 euros each in the following eight categories:

  • 1. Best Narrative (Short Film)
  • 2. Best Narrative (Documentary)
  • 3. Best Screenplay
  • 4. Best Cinematography
  • 5. Best Sound Design
  • 6. Best Animation
  • 7. Best Original Score
  • 8. Best Editing

SEVEN YOUNG BESTS

Seven young individuals will be recognized with cash awards of 1,000 euros each under the seven classifications

  • 1. Young Best Scriptwriter
  • 2. Young Best Songwriter
  • 3. Young Best Male Actor
  • 4. Young Best Female Actor
  • 5. Young Best Short Film Director
  • 6. Young Best Animation Director
  • 7. Young Best Documentary Director

JURY CHOICE AWARDS

The Jury will choose one individual from the five categories and award 1,000 euros each, for the

  • 1. Best 2-Minute Short Film
  • 2. Best 5-Minute Short Film
  • 3. Best Animation Short Film
  • 4. Best Music Video
  • 5. Best Documentary Film
