Introduction
Welcome to the Don Bosco Global Youth Film Festival, henceforth known as DBGYFF. The DBGYFF is a competition organised by the Salesians of Don Bosco and sponsored by the Don Bosconel Mondo Foundation, designed to allow young people from different countries to show their talent in "FILM MAKING".

The Don Bosco nel Mondo Foundation, as sponsor of the initiative, is committed, always and to the best of its ability, to the protection of personal data.

Below is the notice describing how personal data will be collected and processed as a result of participation in DBGYFF..

This information is provided pursuant to Regolamento UE 2019/679 (GDPR) and Decretolegislativo 30 giugno 2003, n. 196 e s.m.i. (Privacy Code/Law). Any changes or updates to this policy will be promptly published on the websiteof the event.

Personal data - Owner and location of data handling
By Personal Data we mean any information capable of identifying, or making identifiable, a natural person; personal data are, by way of example but not limited to, name, surname, date and place of birth, address, email, telephone number, tax code, photo…etc.

The data controller of the data provided to the DBYFF is the Don Bosco nel Mondo Foundation, in the person of its legal representative pro tempore, Bro. Data handling may also be carried out at other locations; in this case, reference should always be made in advance to the aforementioned Data Controller.
Purpose of data handling
Data is collected exclusively to enable the Controller to provide services within the framework of the International Competition known as the Don Bosco Global Youth Film Festival. The data provided will therefore be handled, without exception, for all organisational, logistical and promotional purposes relating to the Competition, to interface with the various participants and interested parties, to draw up lists and statistics and to provide all the services envisaged as part of the event.
Handling of Personal Data
The Don Bosco nel Mondo Foundation will collect personal data (name, surname, date and place of birth, address, email, phone number, tax code, photo…etc), provided due to participation in the DBGYFF when registering for access to the services of the website dedicated to the event, specifically, https://www.dbgyff.com.

The data are provided spontaneously and freely by any candidate wishing to take part in the Competition or by users connecting with the site. Consequently, the interested parties assume the burden of the correctness and truthfulness of the personal data provided and are, moreover, responsible for the provision of personal data of third parties, guaranteeing the right to their dissemination and thus releasing the Data Controller from any responsibility.

The Foundation shall not handle personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, data concerning the health or sex life or sexual orientation of an individual.
Consent to handling of data
By voluntarily submitting his/her data, the candidate expressly consents to the use and processing of said data for the institutional purposes of the Competition; he/she is also aware that said data, or part thereof (surname, first name, personal details, residence, tax code) may be made public in order to announce rankings and results, communicate service news to participants as well as the final list of winners.

Similarly, each candidate, by registering, authorises the owner to use audio/video recordings and images and to disseminate them publicly, on a non-profit basis and solely for the purpose of promoting the competition.

The provision of the requested data is compulsory for the achievement of the purposes of the Competition: however, it must be emphasised that the provision of data is absolutely optional as there is no obligation to participate.

Given that personal data is provided through registration on the site, if a parent or guardian assumes that a child has provided personal data and has objections to this, he or she should contact the Data Controller, who will delete the child's data. Personal data will not be collected from persons under 13 years of age.
Handling procedures
The data provided will be processed by electronic and paper-based tools, however, suitable to ensure the confidentiality and security of the same.
Communication, dissemination and storage of data
Data provided can be communicated:
1) to members of the jury, to the artistic direction and the organising office of the competition 2) to software and hardware consultants of the Owner 3) to public and private entities (tax consultants, lawyers, banks, judicial offices) in compliance with legal obligations.

The data provided will not be passed on to third parties for any reason whatsoever. The data will be stored for a period of no more than three months from the end of the Competition, after which it will be deleted from the site and kept only in electronic form for a period not exceeding the fulfilment of the purposes for which they were collected and, in any case, for a period not exceeding two years.

The list of winners will remain published on the Competition website unless individual candidates indicate in writing that they wish to be removed.
Rights of the person concerned
At any time, the subject of the data may exercise their rights vis-à-vis the Data Controller, pursuant to Articles 15 (right of access to data) - 16 (right of rectification) - 17 (right to be forgotten) - 18 (right to restriction of processing) - 19 (obligation to notify in case of rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing) - 20 (right to data portability) - 21 (right to object) GDPR - Regulation 2016/679, as well as the right to complain to the Supervisory Authority.
